The national entrance exam for admission to five-year integrated law programs at National Law Universities (NLUs) across India.
CLAT is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities for admission to undergraduate (BA LLB and similar) and postgraduate law programs at 20+ NLUs, along with several other law schools that accept CLAT scores.
The exam emphasises reading comprehension and applied reasoning over rote memorisation, rewarding students who build strong reading speed, logical thinking and awareness of current affairs.
